Welcome to the new look of LUCSA!

2011 is a year of bold new beginnings within the LUCSA communion. This year has been designated as one in which the organization will focus its energy on taking the communion into the future through the development of its communications and facilitation structures.  LUCSA Council 2011 took place in Livingstone, Zambia this July and was geared towards discussing many of these concepts.

This new website is just one part of a larger strategy. Along with this site's launch on 15 April 2011, LUCSA has also worked over the past few months in implementing a new communications strategy overall. We have been working on the re-branding process since November, 2010 including new LUCSA logos, a new organization-wide catalog, program-specific brochures and a new Member Church Communications Network (MCCN). We also look forward to developing future web content in Portuguese to accommodate our member churches in Angola and Mozambique. All of these pieces will enable LUCSA to reach out to all member churches and our global partners in fresh and dynamic ways.

Well will use multiple channels of media (electronic and print) to meet the varying needs of our member churches. Whether you want to engage in a debate on LUCSA's Facebook page (launched 1 June, 2011), want to know where the next program workshop is being held, or want to read the latest news from our various projects within the sub-region, you'll be able to do so through this website. You'll also notice the Twitter and Facebook symbols at the top of each page; by clicking on each symbol you'll automatically be able to link our page to your Twitter account or Facebook page. We live at a time where access and dissemination of information is nearly limitless and we, at LUCSA, look forward to harnessing these tools to share our communion with you and have you share with us! For more information on our new logos and branding strategy check out the links at the bottom of this page.

We look forward, through our new communications strategy and networks, to connecting you to LUCSA and LUCSA to the world. Welcome to our communion!

In God's Peace,

Kristen Opalinski - LUCSA Communications Officer

A special thanks goes out to the LUCSA staff for their help during this process. I'd also like to thank all the people who have helped by submitting information and photos, especially Armando Joao Manhisse Jaiquira and Lauren Borsa for the use of their photos.
